I've just completed my first week at Falmouth University; it’s been pretty good so far. There have been a lot of good nights up at the Stannary (Student Bar) and a lot of mornings when I have felt pretty rough. 70's night was on Friday there was a live band playing 70's music which you don't tend to hear on your average night out.

The town itself is really nice it’s similar to my hometown, Torquay, both are nice seaside towns the only difference is Falmouth doesn't seem to be full of chavs and drug dealers. One of my last outings in Torquay I was accused of being an undercover cop by some druggy because I didn't have any cocaine to sell him, hopefully I wont be getting that here. Although I had some Cornish guy ranting to me about students who come to Falmouth and then slag it off, he finished the rant with a Cornish song which was quite amusing.

I haven't really done any real work for my course (Journalism BA hons) so far, but from what I have heard it sounds good. I enjoyed English Literature and Media at A-level so hopefully I will find this course enjoyable too.
